How do I know an agency is trustworthy?

Our website rentacarparos.com is part of the Pioneer Services Group, a fully licensed car rental company and a member of the Association of Tourist Rental Car Companies in Greece (STEEAE) — the only car rental association recognized by the Association of Greek Tourist Companies (SETE). Our company is fully bonded by the Greek National Tourist Board (EOT) for rental services on the islands of Paros and Antiparos, with registration number (MHTE) 1175Ε81001134601.

We are fully EU-licensed to provide car rental services and have proudly served customers since 2013.

What are the benefits of booking car online in advance instead of waiting until I arrive?

Paros and Antiparos are among the most popular tourist destinations in Greece. During the summer, demand for rental vehicles is high, making it difficult to find availability — and prices often rise sharply.

By booking online in advance, you secure the vehicle category you want at a lower rate, avoiding seasonal price hikes. You’ll also enjoy a wider selection of cars, giving you the best chance to choose the model that suits your needs.

Do I need an international driver’s license, or is a national driver’s license sufficient?

Drivers from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and all EU member states do not need to provide an International Driving Permit (IDP).

For countries where an IDP is required, it must always be presented together with the driver’s original national license.

Please note: an International Driving Permit on its own — without the accompanying domestic license — will not be accepted.

How will we meet upon my arrival in Paros?

Arrival by Air (Paros Airport)
Our representative will be waiting for you just outside the Airport Arrivals Gate, holding a sign with your name. If you’ve provided your flight number, we’ll monitor your flight and adjust for any delays.

Arrival by Ferry (Port of Paros)
When your ferry arrives, you can reach our main office in Parikia Port on foot — it’s only about 70 meters from the port gate. After booking confirmation, we’ll send you the exact pin location of our office.

Other Locations in Paros & Antiparos
For deliveries or collections at other locations, our team will contact you in advance to arrange the drop-off or pick-up of your chosen vehicle.

How can I be sure my reservation is confirmed?

Once your booking is complete, one of our representatives will send you a confirmation email.

What is the minimum age or maximum age to hire a vehicle?

Car Rental Age and License Requirements

Minimum Age:

For car groups A, A1, A2, A3, B, C, and C1: 21 years old. Drivers must have held a valid driver’s license for at least 2 years.

For all other car groups: 25 years old. Drivers must have held a valid driver’s license for at least 5 years.

Young Drivers (21–24 years old) or those with 1–2 years of license experience may rent, but a Young Drivers Supplement of €9/day applies.

Senior Drivers (73–80 years old) may rent cars in groups A, A1, A2, A3, B, C, C1, D, D1, F, and F1, with a Senior Drivers Supplement of €9/day.

All drivers must present a valid driver’s license at pick-up. Photocopies, photos, or electronic copies are not accepted.

Scooter and Quad Rental Age and License Requirements

Minimum Age:

50cc and electric scooters: 19 years old.

All other scooters and quads: 21 years old.
Drivers must have held a valid driver’s license for at least 1 year.

Young Drivers (19–24 years old): €6/day Young Drivers Supplement applies.

Senior Drivers (73–80 years old): €6/day Senior Drivers Supplement applies.

All drivers must present a valid driver’s license at pick-up. Photocopies, photos, or electronic copies are not accepted.

What is the minimum rental period?

The minimum rental duration is 2 hours. However, the minimum rental charge is for one full day (24 hours), regardless of whether the vehicle is returned earlier.

Can I book a specific vehicle model?

A general rule in the vehicle rental industry, is that a reservation concerns a category (cars of similar sizes and types. However, we always strive to provide the exact model selected on our website whenever possible. In fact, in over 95% of cases, customers receive the model they chose.

Is the final payment different from the booking price?

We are completely transparent about pricing. The rate we quote is exactly what you will pay, with no hidden charges. All taxes and VAT are already included in our quoted rates.

Any additional charges will be clearly shown and written on your voucher, and they will only be added if you choose them at the time of booking.

Can I modify or cancel my reservation?

You can modify your reservation free of charge, subject to availability, up to 48 hours before your scheduled pick-up time.

Cancellations made up to 14 days before pick-up are also free of charge. However, if you paid online, banking fees may apply when refunding the amount to your account.

Is it possible to extend my rental period?

You may extend your rental by notifying us at least 24 hours before the scheduled return time, subject to availability. Last-minute extension requests may incur charges based on current rates.

What is the daily kilometer/mileage allowance?

Enjoy total freedom! Our rental rates for Paros and Antiparos include unlimited kilometers at no extra cost.

Do you provide baby seats for infants and children?

We offer a selection of high-quality, EU-standard baby and child seats, all CE certified, for the safety and comfort of our little passengers:

Infant/Baby Seats: 6–17 kg (13–37.5 lbs)

Isofix Infant/Baby Seats: 6–17 kg (13–37.5 lbs)

Kid/Booster Seats: 18–36 kg (38–79 lbs)

Infant/Baby Cot: 0–9 kg (0–20 lbs)

To ensure availability, please reserve your preferred seat at the time of booking.

What steps should I take if my vehicle encounters a problem?

In case of a breakdown, please call us immediately at the telephone number listed on both our website and your rental contract. A company representative will assist you as soon as possible.

Before calling, please ensure that the vehicle has sufficient fuel and, if needed, press the brake pedal (for automatic cars) or the clutch pedal (for manual cars) to start the engine.

Can I take my rental vehicle outside Paros or Antiparos?

You may not drive our rental vehicles outside of Paros or Antiparos without prior written permission from our company.

What payment cards can I use to rent a vehicle?

Most major credit and debit cards, including VISA and MasterCard, are accepted for car rental payments.

AMEX, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and China UnionPay are also accepted; however, a 3% surcharge applies due to high transaction fees in Greece.

Will I need to provide a security deposit? Is a credit card necessary?

No security deposit is required if you hold a valid credit card.

While a valid credit card is recommended, you can also rent a vehicle using cash or a debit card. In these cases, you may be asked to leave a cash deposit, or we can place a security hold on your debit card. This deposit will be fully refunded when the vehicle is returned undamaged.

Do you charge for vehicle delivery or pick-up?

Pick-up and drop-off are free from our Main Office at the Port of Paros and Paros Airport during office hours (08:30 to 22:00 daily, including Sundays).

Delivery to or collection from any local accommodation incurs an additional fee, which is predetermined and displayed on our website. We provide vehicle delivery and collection services all over Paros and Antiparos.

After-hours service (22:00 to 08:30) also incurs an extra charge, listed on our website.

Is it allowed for multiple people to drive the car?

Each rental contract allows up to two drivers per vehicle at no extra charge.

Can I make a booking by phone?

Yes, you can make a booking by calling us.
Please note that a booking deposit is required to complete your reservation.

How can I reserve more than one vehicle?

If you wish to book more than one vehicle of the same category for the same dates, please indicate in the notes section the number of vehicles you want, along with the name and contact phone number for each reservation. We will then contact you to confirm any additional details.

If this information is not provided, each vehicle must be booked separately.

Do you provide cars for weddings or special occasions?

Yes, we offer vehicles specially suited for weddings and other special occasions.

What date format is used on your website and documents?

We serve customers from all over the world, so this is a common question.
We use the Greek/European date format, which is day/month/year (dd-mm-yyyy).

Will I receive a refund if I return the vehicle early or with more fuel than at pick-up?

You may return your rental vehicle earlier than stated in the contract; however, no refund will be issued, as the car was reserved for a specific period and cannot be rebooked.

Similarly, no reimbursement is provided for fuel returned in excess of the amount at pick-up.

I’ve had an accident with damage not covered by my insurance. How is the repair cost calculated? I want to ensure I’m not overcharged.

Our goal is to ensure all our clients are satisfied both during their rental and upon returning the vehicle.

Occasionally, damage may occur. While we never aim to overcharge, when repairs are necessary, we use an official tool (DAT) to provide an accurate, on-the-spot estimate for the specific car model. This ensures all charges are fair and transparent.

Clients also benefit from discounts offered by repair garages and car parts suppliers. We do not profit from damages incurred by our clients.
